This park opened on October 1, 1978, transforming a former landfill site that served as Tokyo's garbage disposal location from 1957 to 1967.
The park hosts the Akahata Matsuri festival every four years, drawing thousands of visitors for a three-day celebration organized by the Japanese Communist Party.
Visitors can access the park through Shin-Kiba Station on the Tokyo Metro Yurakucho Line, with parking available for 455 vehicles in two separate lots.
The Yumenoshima Tropical Greenhouse Dome maintains a collection of plants from warm climates, offering botanical education throughout the year.
