Diamond and Flower Ferris Wheel, Ferris wheel in Kasai Rinkai Park, Japan
The Diamond and Flower Ferris Wheel is a 117-meter-tall structure in Kasai Rinkai Park with 68 gondolas accommodating six passengers each and offering views across Tokyo Bay. Each cabin rotates through a full circle, providing panoramic perspectives of the surrounding landscape during the ride.
This structure was completed in 2001 as Japan's tallest Ferris wheel at the time. The record stood until 2016, when another wheel surpassed it in height.
The wheel's design uses colors inspired by diamonds and flowers, reflecting how Japanese culture values both nature and human skill. Standing at the top, visitors sense the connection between the city below and the natural features surrounding Tokyo Bay.
The attraction operates on different schedules for weekdays and weekends, making it accessible to visitors throughout the week. The air-conditioned cabins keep passengers comfortable regardless of season or outside conditions.
The ride completes a full rotation in about 17 minutes, allowing passengers to spot distant landmarks like Tokyo Tower and the Rainbow Bridge. On clear days, Mount Fuji becomes visible from this height.
