The Odabashi Bridge spans across the landscape with a concrete structure rising 44.7 meters high and extending 1.7 kilometers in length.

Engineers completed the construction of Odabashi Bridge in 2004, replacing an older drawbridge that restricted vehicle weight to 14 tons and allowed only 4,000 daily crossings.

The bridge serves as a vital connection point between Sakaiminato and Matsue, enabling local residents to maintain social and economic relationships across the prefectures.

Visitors can reach the bridge by taking a train to Sakaiminato Station, followed by a 30-minute walk or bicycle ride to the observation points.

The bridge features different gradients on each side, with a 6.1 percent slope from Shimane and a 5.1 percent incline from the Tottori direction.
