Onogokurakuji Park

Onogokurakuji Park is a municipal green space in Ichinomiya situated along the Kiso River, with sports fields, recreational zones, and play areas for children. The grounds include multiple facilities spread across the riverside landscape.

The grounds were first created in 1966 as Komyoji Green Space and renamed in 1994 after nearby tower park development. This name change reflected evolving plans for the location.

The site holds a monument recalling the former Ono Castle location, and cherry blossom celebrations occur here during spring. Visitors can experience how the community marks these seasonal traditions.

The park opens early in the day and closes in the afternoon, with bicycle rentals and a grilling area available for group gatherings. Visitors should plan their activities accordingly and arrive early to make the most of available daylight.

The park houses one of the city's first certified ground golf courses, where the game uses the natural terrain layout. This golf variant differs from traditional golf and appeals to a wider age range seeking casual sporting activity.
