Description
The Osaka Securities Building Market Hall is a structure with an oval-shaped entrance at the intersection of Sakaisuji and Tosabori streets. Inside, the building houses office spaces and a gallery that preserves records from the city's securities trading history.
History
The building was constructed in 1935 and underwent renovation in 2004. The work preserved its original design features while updating the interior for contemporary use.
Culture
The OSE Gallery displays historical documents and equipment from the early days of the Osaka Stock Exchange. Visitors can see how securities trading worked in the past and understand what this place meant for the city's development.
Practical
Guided tours depart from the first-floor atrium and are limited to 15 people per group. It is helpful to check beforehand when tours are available and how best to reach the building.
