Kitahama Retro Building, Cultural heritage building in Kitahama, Japan

The Kitahama Retro Building stands near the Osaka Securities Exchange, offering views of Tosabori River and Nakanoshima Park from its position.

The structure, dating from 1912 during the Meiji Era, served as headquarters for a securities brokerage firm in the financial district of Osaka.

The architectural design incorporates Glasgow influences, making it a registered tangible cultural property that represents early 20th-century Japanese commercial structures.

The first floor contains an English cake and tea shop, while the second floor houses a café serving forty different teas from England, France, and India.

From the second-floor windows, visitors can observe the Nakanoshima rose garden while sampling freshly baked cakes and traditional afternoon tea sets.
