グランサンクタス淀屋橋

Grand Sanctus Yodoyabashi is a modern 13-story residential tower in Osaka's business district that incorporates the original facade of a historic bank building. The complex contains 60 residential units across its floors while preserving the distinctive exterior walls and decorative elements of the earlier structure.

The structure preserves the exterior walls of the former Osaka Agricultural and Industrial Bank, completed in 1918 by architect Kingo Tatsuno. This historic facade was later integrated into a modern residential complex, merging early 20th-century architecture with contemporary living.

The structure exemplifies Japanese architectural preservation techniques by integrating the original Arabesque terracotta tiles with contemporary residential design elements.

The building sits three minutes on foot from Yodoyabashi subway station, making it easily accessible by public transport. Underground parking facilities are available for those arriving by car.

The renovation project required moving 600 tons of the historic facade using specialized engineering techniques to integrate it with the new construction. This remarkable feat allowed the valuable Arabesque tiles and original decorations to be preserved intact.
