Kose Sports Park
Kose Sports Park is a sports complex in Kofu, in Yamanashi Prefecture, that brings together a football stadium, an athletics track, tennis courts, and open recreation areas. The stadium sits at the heart of the site and is the main structure around which the other facilities are arranged.
The park was built in the 1990s as part of Yamanashi Prefecture's effort to develop public sports infrastructure. The stadium was later renovated to meet professional football standards when Vanforet Kofu joined the J.League.
The park is closely tied to Vanforet Kofu, the local football club that plays its home matches at the stadium here. On match days, supporters gather outside well before kickoff, creating a festive mood around the main gate.
The complex sits near Kose Station, which is easy to reach from central Kofu by local train. Outside of match days, the grounds are open and most outdoor areas can be used without a ticket.
The stadium sits at the foot of the Japanese Alps, and on clear days the outline of Mount Fuji is visible from parts of the site. This setting makes it one of the few professional football venues in Japan where the mountain can be seen directly from the stands.
