川奈ホテルゴルフコース, Golf course in Ito, Japan
Kawana Hotel Golf Course is a golf facility in Ito along the Pacific coast with two 18-hole courses. The Fuji Course spans about 6,100 yards and offers practice areas as well as a dining room accommodating up to 500 people.
The facility was founded in 1936 when Kishichiro Okura commissioned British architect Charles H. Alison to design the Fuji Course. This design brought international golf architecture expertise to Japan and shaped the course for decades.
The course follows traditional Japanese golf etiquette, with a dress code requiring collared shirts and high socks. Players experience a formal style of play that differs from many Western courses.
Visitors will find rental equipment, practice areas, and training greens on site. The facility offers dining options and is best accessed during daylight hours when the course is operating.
The Fuji Course ranks among the world's top 53 golf courses according to Golf Magazine. The numerous deep bunkers and strategic holes with ocean views make it one of Asia's most notable courses.
