Nosaka Automata Museum

The Nosaka Automata Museum displays a collection of more than 250 mechanical figures that create movement through intricate engineering and artistic design.

The museum initiated its journey in March 2000, establishing a dedicated space for mechanical art and automata preservation in Shizuoka Prefecture.

Each automaton in the museum demonstrates the integration of Japanese craftsmanship with mechanical engineering principles through detailed movements and storytelling mechanisms.

The museum, located at 1283-75 Kabujiri in Yawatano, offers educational workshops where participants learn to create basic mechanical models.

The collection includes mechanical dolls that perform specific actions through complex mechanisms, ranging from simple movements to elaborate performance sequences.
