Izu Animal Kingdom, Zoo and botanical garden in Inatori, Japan
Izu Animal Kingdom is a zoo and botanical garden in Inatori on the Izu Peninsula, where visitors can observe white tigers, lions, giraffes, and southern white rhinos. The site divides into several zones, including areas for walking safaris and covered habitats.
The park opened on October 1, 1977, introducing a new approach to wildlife observation on the Izu Peninsula. Over the decades, the facility developed into a center for species conservation and education in the region.
The Animal Paradise 360 area spans 1,150 square meters with a 10-meter height, replicating natural habitats where visitors learn about species preservation.
The park can be visited in all weather conditions, as both covered zones and outdoor spaces are available. Comfortable shoes are recommended for the paths, as some sections pass through open enclosures.
The Walking Safari takes visitors on foot through a savanna where herbivores graze freely. Paths and viewpoints are designed to bring guests close to the animals without disturbing them.
