嵐山號誌站, Railway signal station in Ranzan, Japan
The Ranzan Signal Station is an automated train control facility on the Tobu Tojo Line with two tracks and no passenger platforms. It manages train operations in this section and helps coordinate rail movement between nearby stations.
This signal station began operation in 2005 and marked the endpoint of a planned double-track expansion that was initially intended to extend further. The facility's construction eventually led to changes in train services that had previously originated from the nearby Musashi-Ranzan Station.
The signal station represents modern Japanese railway infrastructure, contributing to the transportation network of Saitama Prefecture.
The facility is located near road access routes around Musashi-Ranzan and several bus stops in the area. Since this is an operational facility rather than a passenger station, visitors can only view it from outside the perimeter.
This signal station's establishment led to the discontinuation of train services that previously originated and terminated at Musashi-Ranzan Station.
