日本元気劇場, Theme park in Kaga, Japan
Nippon Genki Gekijo was a theme park in Kaga that spread across a large area with multiple attractions focused on Japanese culture and entertainment. The facility housed live performances, exhibition spaces, and a detailed replica of a historical naval vessel.
The park opened in 2009 as a successor to the former Kaga Hyakumangoku Period Village which closed in 2006. It operated under Kyoden Management Corporation before closing in January 2013.
The park includes performances of ninja shows, samurai demonstrations, and a museum featuring a two-thirds scale replica of the battleship Mikasa.
The location was remote and outside major tourist centers, making private transportation necessary for most visitors. Be aware that the site is permanently closed and no longer accessible for visits.
The grounds were used as a filming location for the historical television series 'Clouds Above the Hill' and helped preserve the legacy of the battleship Mikasa. This connection between the park and a notable military vessel made it special for history enthusiasts.
