水戸葵陵高等学校, Highschool in Japan
Mito Airyo High School (水戸葵陵高等学校) is a Japanese high school in Mito, the capital of Ibaraki Prefecture. It offers several course tracks designed to match different student goals, covering both academic and vocational directions.
The school was founded in 1985 and has since grown into a recognized educational institution in the Mito area. From the start, it was built around the idea of combining academic study with physical training as equal priorities.
As this is an active school, visits are generally not possible without prior arrangement outside of official open days. Anyone wishing to see the campus should contact the school administration in advance.
The school name contains the character for 'aoi', which refers to the hollyhock flower used as the crest of the Tokugawa clan, the rulers who governed from nearby Edo. This connects the school's identity to one of the most recognizable symbols in Japanese history, even though it is simply a local high school.
