Yodogawa Bridge, Railway bridge in Higashiyodogawa-ku, Japan.
Yodogawa Bridge is a railway bridge that spans the Yodo River in Osaka, crossing from Higashiyodogawa-ku toward Miyakojima Ward with a steel frame structure. The crossing carries trains on the Osaka Higashi Line and has been modified to handle two tracks instead of one.
The bridge was built in 1925 by the Ministry of Railways to create a freight connection between Suita and eastern Osaka regions. In 2010, it underwent major modifications that transformed it from a single-track structure with pedestrian access to a dual-track railway crossing.
The bridge serves as a central point for railway enthusiasts and photographers who gather to document the infrastructure and passing trains throughout different seasons.
The best views of the bridge come from the nearby riverbanks or from areas near the train stations at either end. Since it remains an active railway line, public access to the bridge itself may be restricted or limited to specific viewing areas.
The structure incorporates specialized engineering to accommodate freight trains merging with the Tokaido Main Line through a specifically designed wye junction near Higashi-Yodogawa Station.
