法案寺, Buddhist temple in Chūō-ku, Japan.
The temple features traditional wooden architecture with precise carvings, surrounded by gardens showcasing Japanese landscaping techniques and religious statues.
The temple dates back to the reign of Empress Suiko between 593 and 628 CE, originally constructed in the Shigino area of present-day Joto ward.
The temple houses a designated National Important Cultural Property, the standing statue of Kannon, which opens for public viewing during the first week of January.
The temple welcomes visitors daily from 10:00 to 16:00 without entrance fees, located five minutes on foot from Nihonbashi Station on the Osaka Metro Sakaisuji Line.
During the March 1945 air raids, while the temple buildings burned down, the sacred Kannon statue and Kangiten figure remained untouched by the flames.
