Watarase Bridge, Steel bridge in Ashikaga, Japan.

The Watarase Bridge extends 243 meters across the Watarase River with six Warren truss spans and measures 5.5 meters in width.

The current structure replaced a wooden bridge in 1934, constructed at a cost of 95,000 yen to support military transportation needs.

A stone monument installed in 2007 plays the melody of Chisato Moritaka's 1993 song that brought national recognition to this bridge.

The bridge stands 500 meters west of Ashikagashi Station, with a separate pathway for pedestrians and cyclists running parallel to the main structure.

The bridge earned widespread fame through Chisato Moritaka's song, transforming from a locally known 'Tekkyo' into a celebrated landmark after 1992.
