Saigōyama Park, Urban park in Aobadai, Japan.

Saigōyama Park is a green space in Tokyo with walking paths and grass areas where visitors can sit and relax. On clear days, it offers views over the Nakameguro district and Mount Fuji in the distance.

The park was created in 1981 near the former home of Saigō Takamori, an important figure from Japan's Meiji Restoration period. The park's name reflects this connection to the area's history.

During cherry blossom season, the park becomes a gathering place where local residents come together to enjoy the spring flowers and celebrate this annual tradition.

The park is about 700 meters on foot from Daikanyama Station or a nine-minute walk from the main Kyuyamate-dori street. Both approaches are straightforward and the location is easy to reach.

A staircase inside the park descends directly into the Nakameguro district, creating a practical link between two distinct neighborhoods through this elevated green space. This hidden passage often surprises visitors exploring the area.
