The original Shibuya Dotonbori Theater opened in 1970 and underwent several closures before reopening in 2001 with its current format.
The theater shifted from explicit shows to artistic performances after the 1985 Entertainment Business Act, incorporating theatrical adaptations of literary works.
Four daily shows start at 12:00, with regular admission at 5,000 yen and early bird discounts until 13:00 for 4,000 yen.
The venue offers special rates for seniors and female visitors, with performances running until 23:30, subject to schedule modifications.
