Takamatsu City Kagawa Gymnasium

Takamatsu City Kagawa Gymnasium is a sports facility with an oval shape supported by four large pillars and topped with a hyperbolic paraboloid roof that allows natural light to enter. The ground floor houses conference rooms, offices, training spaces, and kitchen facilities, while the main sports hall can accommodate around 2,500 spectators.

The gymnasium was constructed between 1962 and 1964 as a work by architect Kenzo Tange. The design merges modern materials with traditional Japanese architectural elements.
