The museum opened in 2013 as part of Ichihara city's 50th anniversary celebrations, transforming a previous cultural facility from 1995 into a modern exhibition space.
The permanent collection includes works by Yukio Fukazawa, who specialized in copperplate art, alongside rotating exhibitions of Japanese and international contemporary artists.
Located one hour from Tokyo, the museum operates Tuesday through Friday from 10:00 to 17:00, with extended weekend hours and admission fees of 200 yen for adults.
A 28-meter observation tower and lakeside pier allow visitors to view both art installations and the natural landscape from multiple perspectives.
