Kasamori Tsurumai Prefectural Natural Park

Kasamori Tsurumai Natural Park extends across 19.48 square kilometers through three municipalities: Chōnan, Ichihara, and Nagara in central Chiba Prefecture.

The Japanese government established this protected natural area on March 8, 1966, to preserve the regional landscapes and support local wildlife conservation efforts.

The park contains Kasamori-dera temple, featuring a Kannon Hall from 1597 that holds official designation as an Important Cultural Property of Japan.

Multiple walking paths connect different sections of the park, while information boards throughout the grounds provide details about local flora and fauna species.

The woodlands surrounding Kasamori-dera temple received Natural Monument status due to their ecological significance and rare plant species composition.
