Urawa Memorial Park

Urawa Memorial Park is a public green space located next to a horse racing track in Minami-ku, Saitama. The facility features extensive lawns, walking paths, and open areas surrounding the race course.

The park was established in 1973, developing alongside the racecourse which began operations in 1947 as a regional racing venue. Both facilities grew together to serve the local community's needs.

The athletic field inside the racing track opens to the public on non-race days, allowing visitors to exercise within the course perimeter. This unusual access gives locals a chance to train in a space typically reserved for horses.
