Emperor Shōwa attended the 14th Annual Tree Planting Event and National Greening Convention at the park on May 20, 1963, leading to commemorative plantings.
The park hosts the annual Scallop Festival in September, organized by the Hiranai Fisherman's Cooperative Association and the local municipality.
The camping area contains 80 individual sites of 100 square meters each, operating from May 1 to October 31 with full facilities.
The park includes three vinyl greenhouses nurturing 3,000 varieties of cacti and 400 types of orchids across 990 square meters.
