Mishima Yukio Literary Museum

The two-story museum building features exhibition rooms on the first floor and a reading room on the second floor, displaying manuscripts and personal items.

The museum opened on July 3, 1999, designed by architect Hiroshi Ōune to reflect elements from Yukio Mishima's former Tokyo residence.

The collection contains 20,000 items including original manuscripts from Mishima's works such as Confessions of a Mask and The Sound of Waves.

The museum operates from 10:00 AM to 4:30 PM, with admission fees of 500 yen for adults and 300 yen for university students.

Two documentary films present Mishima's literary world, including one featuring director Miyamoto Amon discussing the author's influence on literature.
