出雲大社福井分院, Shinto shrine in Japan
Izumo Taisha Fukui Branch is a Shinto shrine in Fukui featuring traditional wooden buildings with curved roofs. The grounds have a simple, open layout with well-maintained spaces and a peaceful feel throughout.
The shrine was established in 1954 and enshrines a divine spirit of Okuninushi. In 1969 it moved to its current location where new temple and ceremony buildings were constructed.
The shrine serves as a place where visitors pray for good connections and blessings in their lives. People tie small wish tags and perform quiet prayers following traditional customs of hand washing and respectful bowing.
The shrine is about 18 minutes by taxi or car from Fukui Station and has about 100 parking spaces available. Bus routes serve the area with stops just a short walk from the shrine grounds.
The shrine is the only branch of its parent temple in the Hokuriku region, making it a rare place where visitors seek blessings for good connections. Many couples visit specifically to pray for strong relationships.
