Ibigakogen Ski Resort is a winter sports facility in the mountains featuring four slopes that vary in difficulty from steep to gentle runs. The complex includes two cable lifts with different capacities to serve skiers of all abilities.
The resort operated as the largest winter sports destination in the Seino region until 2020, when operations ended. After closure, the site transformed into a recreational area offering lodging and camping experiences.
Local residents maintain winter traditions through activities such as sledding on the Kaigetsu dedicated slope, which remains operational after the ski facilities closed.
The site is most accessible during winter months when roads are cleared and conditions are optimal. Arriving early helps secure good parking and allows more time to explore the extensive grounds.
The former ski slopes have been repurposed as a sledding hill where visitors can enjoy winter slides and runs. The on-site Tochinomi Lodge provides food and accommodations for those spending time here.
