Nagoyashitokushige Library

Nagoyashitokushige Library is a public library with open reading areas featuring custom-designed furniture throughout the stacks. The building's structure includes four symbolic towers positioned at each corner.

The library opened as a modern addition to the Nagoya City Public Library system to serve Aichi Prefecture residents. Its design responded to the need for new community spaces beyond traditional book lending.

The library features dedicated craft areas and gathering spaces where visitors can work on practical projects alongside reading. These spaces show how Japanese public facilities blend learning with hands-on creativity.

The facility is located within the Yumeria Tokushige complex and is easy to find with clear signage. Visitors should plan for browsing time among the shelves and exploring the different activity areas inside.

A yellow tower marks the main entrance and is the first thing you notice approaching the building from outside. The four corner towers were designed to give the structure a memorable and recognizable silhouette.
