The Nagoyashimidori Library occupies an elevated position with large windows that allow natural light to fill the reading spaces and study areas.
The library first opened its doors on August 12, 1972, and underwent a complete renovation before reopening to the public on July 12, 2016.
The library organizes regular reading sessions for different age groups every first and third Thursday of each month to encourage literacy in the community.
The facility provides 92 study desks, an elevator, nursing rooms, and operates from Tuesday to Saturday until 7:00 PM, with shorter hours on Sundays.
The library maintains a mobile service that brings books directly to residents in different districts who cannot easily access the main building.
