北九鞍手夢大橋, Pedestrian bridge in Odaiba, Japan

The Yume no Ohashi is a pedestrian bridge in Tokyo's Koto Ward that spans the Ariake West Canal and connects the Aomi and Ariake districts. The structure stretches approximately 360 meters and is notably wide, making it well-suited for daily foot and bicycle traffic.

The bridge was completed in 1996 and soon received recognition from civil engineering professionals. It was built during a period when Tokyo was modernizing its waterfront infrastructure and creating new connections between growing neighborhoods.

The bridge served as a display location for the Olympic flame following the 2020 Tokyo Olympics opening ceremony and later hosted the Paralympic flame. It has become a place where visitors can experience a connection to these major sporting events.

Visitors can most easily reach the bridge using public transportation from Tokyo Teleport or Aomi stations. The well-marked pathways are accessible to both pedestrians and cyclists, allowing for self-guided exploration of the area.

The structure stands out for its exceptional width, which distinguishes it among all bridges of its type in Japan. These generous dimensions allow for comfortable encounters and make crossing a relaxed experience.
