Toyama Seibu Sports Center

Toyama Seibu Sports Center is a sports facility in Tonami with two training halls of different sizes. The main hall measures 50 meters by 40 meters and accommodates basketball, volleyball, and badminton, while the secondary hall is 34 meters by 29 meters and serves additional sporting activities.

Toyama Prefecture opened this regional sports facility in 1999 to create a central location for athletic activities in the western part of the region. The establishment was developed to meet the sporting needs of local communities and schools.

The facility serves as a training hub where local school teams practice and compete against each other throughout the year. It has become a key gathering place for young athletes in the region who work to develop their skills.

The center has seating for about 2,600 spectators and can host multiple events at the same time. It is well suited for school competitions and regional sports tournaments, with plenty of space for different training and competition activities.

The facility has a dedicated sauna where athletes can recover after training and competition. This recovery feature is something many similar school sports venues do not provide, offering comfort and relaxation to those who train there.
