Yoshino-chō Brick Warehouse

Yoshino-chō Brick Warehouse is a two-story red brick structure topped with a modern titanium rhombus roof that catches light in golden tones. The building merges industrial architecture with contemporary design elements while providing interior space for art exhibitions.

Built in 1907 as a sake brewery storage facility, the structure emerged during Japan's early modernization period in the Meiji era. Its creation reflects the industrialization when Western building techniques merged with local craftsmanship.

The building now houses the Hirosaki Museum of Contemporary Art, showcasing rotating exhibitions within its restored brick walls. Artists and visitors engage with modern creativity set against the backdrop of industrial heritage.
