Kofu City Takeda Castle Ruins Museum

The Kofu City Takeda Castle Ruins Museum exhibits artifacts and displays related to the Takeda clan within a modern building near Takeda Shrine.

The museum opened in 2019 on the grounds where Tsutsujigasaki Palace, built in 1519, served as the residence for three generations of Takeda rulers.

The exhibitions present the military and administrative achievements of Takeda Shingen through armor, weapons, documents, and interactive displays from feudal Japan.

Visitors can reach the museum via a 15-minute bus ride from Kofu Station, with regular services running throughout operating hours.

The museum stands on the exact location where Takeda Shingen implemented his philosophy that people, not walls, form the true strength of a fortress.
