The cliff area serves as a gathering point during the Tsunan Snow Festival, where thousands of participants release sky lanterns into the winter night.

Visitors can reach the cliff by taking the Joetsu Shinkansen to Echigo-Yuzawa Station, followed by a local bus to Tsunan and a short walk.

During winter months, the cliff face accumulates over three meters of snow, creating natural ice formations that transform the entire landscape.
