天城橋

The Amagi Bridge is a cable-stayed bridge connecting Kamiamakusa City and Uki City across the water in Kumamoto Prefecture. The structure features distinctive towers and carries vehicles, pedestrians, and cyclists daily across its span.

The bridge was completed in 2018, significantly improving transportation connections between the two regions. The project represented an important infrastructure development for local connectivity.

The bridge received the Japan Society of Civil Engineers Tanaka Prize in 2018, recognizing its engineering excellence and contribution to civil infrastructure.

The bridge is open and accessible to all vehicles, pedestrians, and cyclists at any time. Allow about 10 to 15 minutes to cross on foot, particularly during busy hours.

The bridge employs a medium-arch composite design with cantilever construction methods, incorporating advanced engineering techniques for stability and durability.
