Museum of Local History in Ulcinj

The Museum of Local History occupies a 15th-century Venetian palace within the fortified walls of Ulcinj's old town, displaying regional artifacts and collections.

Founded in 1975, the museum building served as a church in 1510 before its conversion into a mosque by Turkish forces in 1571.

The museum exhibits include traditional Albanian costumes, local handicrafts, and maritime artifacts that represent the regional heritage of Ulcinj through centuries.

Visitors can explore the museum daily from 8:00 AM to 8:00 PM, with guided tours available in multiple languages through the archaeological and ethnographic sections.

The museum contains a dedicated room featuring artifacts and documentation about Ulcinj's maritime history, including items recovered from local shipwrecks.
