Dom Ciesielczyków w Poznaniu

Dom Ciesielczyków is a 19th century villa in the Rataje district featuring four columns that support a grand portico. The structure displays architectural characteristics of traditional manor houses found across Greater Poland, with classical design elements.

The building belonged to the Ciesielczyk family, who operated a brick factory nearby and contributed to Poznań's industrial development during the 1800s. This business success allowed the family to construct such an impressive residence.

The building reflects the building style of prosperous farmers from the Bamberg community who migrated from Bavaria to the Poznań region in the 19th century. These settlers brought their own architectural traditions, which are visible in the design of the structure.

The building is located south of the Piastowskie residential area on Rataje Street in the city. You can view it from outside since the house is visible from the street and sits within a residential neighborhood.

Few restored examples of rural architecture from this era remain in Poznań, which makes this house particularly special. The influence of Greater Polish nobility residences is clearly visible in the details of the structure.
