New Guardhouse in Łazienki

The New Guardhouse in Łazienki is a late 18th-century structure featuring classical architectural details characteristic of that period. The building displays a front portico with columns topped by elaborate capitals and sits directly adjacent to the Palace on the Isle within the park complex.

The guardhouse was built in the late 1700s during the reign of King Stanisław II Augustus to house royal military personnel. Its neoclassical design reflects the architectural ideals that dominated Europe during that reform period in Polish history.

The building now houses a café where visitors can sit and enjoy drinks while surrounded by neoclassical design. This everyday use transforms the former military structure into a social gathering spot within the park.

The structure sits within the centrally located Łazienki Park and can be reached through multiple park entrances that stay open during daylight hours. Visitors can explore the surroundings and access the café throughout regular park operating times.
