Theatre in Royal Łazienki

The Theatre in Royal Lazienki is an open-air performance space with a stage built on an artificial island, surrounded by classical columns and decorative elements. The audience sits on the shore while performers occupy the island stage, creating a distinctive spatial arrangement.

The theatre was designed in 1792 by architect Johann Christian Kammsetzer under King Stanisław August's reign. It emerged during a period when classical architecture was becoming influential in Polish cultural life.
