Tudor Vladimirescu National College, Târgu Jiu

Tudor Vladimirescu National College is a school building with classical architectural features from the late 19th century located on Unirii Street. The structure displays period design elements and has continuously served as an educational institution since completion.

The building was established in 1890 when a local representative persuaded authorities to create a gymnasium in Târgu Jiu. After four years of construction, the completed school opened and permanently shaped the region's educational landscape.

The school bears the name of freedom fighter Tudor Vladimirescu and connects local heritage with European educational values. Visitors notice how the institution today uses international exchange programs and functions as a cultural bridge in the city.
