Stadionul Tudor Vladimirescu

Stadionul Tudor Vladimirescu is a sports venue in Târgu Jiu that accommodates around 12,500 spectators in its stands. The facility includes a grass playing field and sits along Constantin Brâncuși Boulevard in the city center.

The facility was originally built in 1963 and underwent major renovation work before reopening in October 2019. This modernization represented a significant investment that transformed the venue into a contemporary sports center.

The stadium carries the name of Tudor Vladimirescu, a Romanian revolutionary figure who led the Wallachian uprising against Ottoman rule in 1821.

In December 2022, the stadium received a new name, Constantina Diță-Tomescu Stadium, honoring the region's most accomplished athlete of the past century.
