The Cula Cartianu stands as a three-level brick structure with thick walls, featuring wide ironwork windows and an exterior staircase on one side.
The manor house, built in the late 18th century, served as a fortified residence and witnessed the 1821 revolution when Tudor Vladimirescu gathered his panduri troops.
The building now functions as an ethnographic museum, preserving local traditions and displaying artifacts that represent the heritage of Gorj County.
Located 12 kilometers from Târgu Jiu, visitors can access the monument via the communal road leading to Turcinești village in Gorj County.
The structure includes a cellar on the first level and living quarters on the upper floors, with a distinctive gallery featuring stone arcades.
