Belgrade City Museum

The Belgrade City Museum features an extensive collection of 2,500 artworks, including pieces by Serbian painters Paja Jovanović and Sava Šumanović alongside international artists.

The museum, established on October 5, 1903, documents the development of Belgrade through collections spanning from prehistory to contemporary periods.

Exhibits at the museum include works from both Serbian and international artists, illustrating the artistic exchanges between Belgrade and other cultural centers.

The museum plans to relocate its main collection to the former Military Academy Building, which will provide expanded exhibition spaces and conservation facilities.

The institution manages approximately 200,000 artifacts that were previously displayed across 16 different locations throughout Belgrade.
