Teberda, Mountain settlement in Karachayevsk Urban Okrug, Russia
Teberda is a mountain settlement in the Caucasus located at approximately 1,280 meters (4,200 feet) elevation, with the Teberda River running through it. The place sits at the gateway to the Teberda Nature Reserve and provides access to hiking trails and natural habitats.
The settlement was founded in 1868 under the name Baychoralany-Kyabak and received its current name in 1971. It was administratively part of the Georgian Soviet Socialist Republic from 1944 to 1957.
