Kudepsta Stone, Megalithic monument in Kudepsta, Russia
The sandstone megalith measures 4.6 by 4.4 meters and features two carved seats divided by an armrest facing northeast at a specific angle.
Archaeological excavations near the stone revealed a flat stone pavement and circular stones indicating prolonged fire usage during ancient ceremonial activities.
The stone structure contains specially designed seating areas that suggest its function in tribal leadership ceremonies or religious practices of ancient communities.
Visitors can reach the stone by walking fifteen minutes from the residential buildings in Kudepsta, near a former boarding school location.
The seats carved into the stone measure 75 centimeters in width and face precisely at 60 degrees azimuth, aligning with the winter solstice sunrise.
