Petrov Mansion

Petrov Mansion is a late 19th-century building that blends multiple architectural styles with elaborate facade details. The southern side displays composite order columns, semi-circular windows, and intricate stucco decorations featuring female heads and griffins.

The mansion was built in the late 19th century according to designs by architect Nikolai Doroshenko. It passed through several owners and institutions, including the Vladikavkaz Railway, before taking on its present function.

Since 1959 the building has housed the Rostov Regional Museum of Fine Arts and now serves as an exhibition space. Visitors can explore art collections displayed within this historic structure.

The building is centrally located on Pushkinskaya Street and is easily accessible within the city. Visitors should check the museum's operating hours before planning a visit.

The building features carved female figures supporting arched openings and displays a heraldic sign above its main entrance. These decorative elements combine baroque and renaissance characteristics in an unusual way.
