Monument to Andrew the Apostle

The Monument to Andrew the Apostle is a 6-meter-tall bronze statue in Bataysk depicting the saint in religious vestments holding a Latin cross. The black labradorite pedestal features carved inscriptions about his life and is reached by five stone steps.

The monument was dedicated in September 2003 with a ceremony that brought together Don Cossacks, Zaporozhian Cossacks, and students from a maritime college. Its creation reflected growing interest in honoring local religious traditions.
