Доходный дом К. К. Мазинга

The Mazinga Building is a six-story stone structure in neoclassical style with an asymmetrical facade featuring detailed decorative elements. The structure contains multiple connected sections and functioned as residential apartments from its inception.

The building was constructed in 1912 following designs by architect Grigory Fedorovich Yartsev on the site of an earlier 18th-century noble estate. Its construction marked the shift from private palaces to modern rental housing serving the expanding urban population.

The building housed people from different social backgrounds and reflects how urban residents lived in early 20th-century Moscow. The apartments show how people organized their homes and shared space in a growing city.

The building is located at 7/10 Maly Znamensky Lane in a quiet residential neighborhood with good public transit access. Visitors should note that interior spaces are only partially accessible since the building continues to function as a residence.

The building connects to neighboring properties through underground and covered passages, showing a distinctive design approach used in early 1900s Moscow. These connection systems allowed residents to move between buildings without going outside.
