Statue of Bear in Vyborg

The Bear in Theatre Square is a granite figure created by sculptor Eva Gyldén and shows careful craftsmanship in its details. The sculpture stands in the center of the square and forms a natural focal point for visitors with its shape.

The work was erected in 1913 and has shaped the square ever since, even as the city changed hands between different countries. Despite the destruction during World War II in the surrounding area, this granite figure remained in its original location.
