The Vorontsov City Estate features a two-story main building constructed in Empire style with symmetrical side wings and classical architectural elements.
Initially owned by Kazan governor Artemy Volynsky in the early 18th century, the estate passed to Count Ivan Vorontsov in 1759 for complete reconstruction.
The estate housed the Stroganov School of Art and currently serves as the headquarters of the Moscow Institute of Architecture since 1933.
The estate complex stands at the intersection of Rozhdestvenka Street and Sandunovsky Lane, maintaining its educational function through architectural studies.
During the Patriotic War of 1812, the estate transformed into a hospital while simultaneously functioning as a medical education facility.
